Why we wanted her
That double position is what makes her worth listening to.
She knows what a garment is supposed to do, because she works with these products for a living and understands how they are built and specified. And she knows whether it actually does it, because she is out there every week finding out. Those two forms of knowledge rarely sit in the same person, and when they do, the feedback that comes back is considerably more useful than praise.
