A 160 km self-supported expedition to reach the Arctic Circle in 10 days.
Imagine setting out on a 100-kilometre expedition, only to discover after the first day that the journey would stretch to at least 160 kilometres to reach your goal. And to make it even more challenging, you must continue having left behind half your essential gear, including most of your provisions, skis, and sledges.
With temperatures swinging between −30°C and 0°C, and sleeping bags soaked then frozen, Gabriele Arduini and his companion truly encountered the wilds of Sweden, confronting their limits and ultimately surpassing them.
The documentary reveals the full spectrum of the expedition: the fear, the uncertainty, the triumph, and the pure exhilaration experienced by the team before, during, and after the journey.
“At first, we were both extremely excited to set off. But it took only 200 metres, and the arrival of night, to completely change the mood of the expedition.”
