LOGISTICS DISTRICT
Asola (MN), Italy.
It all comes down to responsibility.
As a product nears its final destination, the process doesn’t necessarily become easier. The last mile is where precision is non-negotiable: the final step before a product enters someone’s home, where there’s zero room for error. Even within a system streamlined by automation, the human factor remains essential to ensure everything arrives exactly as it should.
In recent years, automated systems have redefined the structure and pace of our logistics operations. It’s undeniable: with industrial automation, both the volume and speed of order processing have increased dramatically. We’ve eliminated the bottlenecks that used to slow us down.
Every evening we upload the day’s orders, and overnight the system reorganizes the warehouse so the next steps can be executed as efficiently and smoothly as possible.
But before anything leaves our logistics center, it’s always up to us to make sure nothing went wrong.
With this system, mistakes are rare. Maybe once a month.
But if we don’t catch them, the customer will. And that’s not an option.
The margin of error may be close to zero, but our tolerance has to be absolute zero.
Machines trust people. They follow orders precisely. But people can’t blindly trust machines, because in our process, technology doesn’t correct human mistakes. That’s why every single item leaving this space is inspected with obsessive care, by human hands and eyes.
Sometimes, moving forward means taking a step back. Technology should elevate quality, not just speed things up. And when it doesn’t, it’s worth rethinking the balance.
That’s why we chose to return to the meticulous work of our team, the people we trust completely. We started with socks packaging, and carried the same care into boxing and labeling, all crafted by hand.
This system allows us to ship thousands of items every day, drastically reducing errors and strengthening the one truth we keep coming back to: the human engine still drives everything we do.
"We once used automated packaging systems. We tested them on our socks. But we realized we were sacrificing something in terms of quality, which must always remain our top priority."
